Emmylou Harris has been named this year's Century Award winner by BILLBOARD magazine.

Reba was recently thanked for her efforts on behalf of the Oklahoma Childrens Hospital with a $2 million research chair being named after her. The Reba McEntire Endowed Chair in Neonatology is located at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center's pediatrics department.

Shania Twain is only the second female artist to reach RIAA's Diamond status with back-to-back studio albums. Twain's Come On Over recently hit Diamond status along with her first release The Women In Me.

Kenny Rogers was recently awarded the 1999 Sammy CahnLifetime Achievement Award at the 30th Annual Songwriter's Hall of Fame Awards Dinner.

The Country Music Hall of Fame's "Encylopedia Of Country Music" has garnered two prestigious awards - the 1998 Ray and Pat Brown Award (reference book category) from the Popular Culture association and Belmont University's 1999 Belmont Book Award.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Country Music Hall of Fame was recently held in downdown Nashville. The Hall of Fame is scheduled to open in May, 2001.
