The 80s Ladies Tour

Nashville, TN - Country music entertainers Janie Fricke, Lacy J. Dalton, and Juice Newton have announced the creation of the "80's Ladies Tour." The tour is scheduled to begin early-summer and will travel across the country.

From county fairs to corporate trade shows, live concerts, in recording studios, or before millions on television, Janie Fricke's individual sound and performance personality has captivated audiences around the world. The music industry took notice as her voice was heard on duets with Merle Haggard, Moe Bandy and others, leading her to her first major recording contract. Fricke soon began to dominate the country charts with smash hits such as "Don't Worry 'Bout Me Baby," "He's a Heartache," and "Your Heart's Not In It.". It was only a matter of time before she started winning awards. Included among them are: Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year, Music City News Female Vocalist of the Year, "Billboard" Top Country Female Vocalist, "Cash Box" Top Country Female Vocalist, Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year, British-based Country Music Round Up Most Popular International Female Solo Act, and she was chosen to the Country Music Hall of Fame Walkway of Stars. Janie's new web-site has up-to-date information on Janie at www.janiefricke.com.

An evening with Juice Newton will include the hits "Queen of Hearts," "Angel of the Morning," and "The Sweetest Thing." This Grammy Award winning artist takes the audience on an emotion-filled ride from the soul searing "Hurt," to the rollicking "Love´s Been A Little Bit Hard On Me," to the plea of "Break It To Me Gently." These songs and others have propelled Juice´s "Greatest Hits" album to platinum, adding to her collection of gold and platinum certifications. No stranger at awards time, Juice has taken home trophies from the likes of the Academy of Country Music (New Female Vocalist of the Year), Billboard magazine (Album of the Year), and the People´s Choice Awards.

She's one of the most instantly recognizable voices in music - the woman People magazine called "Country's Bonnie Raitt." From the first time Lacy J. Dalton caught the public's ear, that soulful delivery, full of texture and grit, was a mainstay of country music. Since 1980, Lacy has recorded a total of fourteen albums which include three "greatest hit" packages. She has had hit singles including "Crazy Blue Eyes", "Hillbilly Girl With The Blues", "Takin' It Easy", "16th Avenue", "Dream Baby", "The Heart" and "Black Coffee." Lacy has been nominated for Best Female Vocalist several times throughout her career and in 1979 won the Academy of Country Music's Best New Female Vocalist award. Her songs have been nominated for Grammy Awards and she had numerous BMI awards for airplay. Lacy has a new recording out benefiting the Virginia Range Wildlife Protection Association and is available via www.lacyjdalton.com.
