Kix Brooks recently went "rollin' on the river" in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Brooks put his Sea-Doo jet ski in the Cumberland River, made his way through various waterways to Memphis and then to New Orleans on the mighty Mississippi River. With the completion of this four-day venture, Coors Light presented the hospital with a major donation.

Country stars Billy Ray Cyrus, BlackHawk, Anita Cochran, The Great Divide, david Kersh, Tracy Lawrence, Lila McCann, Jo Dee Messina, Julie Reeves, The Wilkinsons, Steve Wariner, Bryan White and the Warren Brothers all donated their time to perform at the 5th Annual Sizzlin' Country concert to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Sammy Kershaw recently raised over $250,000 for the Sammy Kershaw Foundation during his annual week of benefit activities in his hometown of Kaplan, LA. The foundation distributes the funds to charities that help needy children.

Terri Clark, songwriter Karen Staley and pop sensation Jann Arden recently helped raise over $7,000 for the Bridges of Williamson County, an organization that aids victims of domestic violemce, with a benefit concert and auction.

Heather Kinley, Matt King, Mila Mason, K.T. Oslin and a growing list of other celebrity supporters in Nashville have gone to the dogs. They are all active members of "Animal Care Task Force," dedicated to solving the city's lack of animal control and humane care. The country music stars got together, rolled up their sleeves and proceeded to wash canine pets whose owners made a cash donation for their cause. Recently, other performers such as Barbara Mandrell, Wynonna Judd and Lorrie Morgan have joined the movement with benefit concerts.
