Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser a Success

Country artists Tracy Lawrence, Tim McGraw, Randy Travis, LeAnn Rimes, Deans Carter, Kevin Sharp, Paul Brandt, Mila Mason, David Kersh and Anita Cochran helped raise more that $204,000 for Cystic Fibrosis. The event, "Sizzlin' Country," was held at the Hollywood Palace in Hollywood.

Chaired by Sheri Mount, wife of David Mount, Chairman of WEA, the evening began with a special reception honoring the artists and sponsors- WEA, Inc., TNN, CMT, Anderson Merchandisers BMI, Coors Light, Epiphone, Country Weekly, American Airlines, Warner Media Services and Bernard Hodes Advertising. SJS Entertainment featured a live syndicated radio broadcast hosted by Atlantic Records recording artist, Tracy Lawrence, and Radio k Record's Editor Lon Helton.

More that $21,000 was raised from a silent auction which included an autographed Garth Brooks guitar, Digital Video Disc player and autographed merchandise from each of the artists. Dollars raised from the Sizzlin' Country Fundraiser will go to the research, care and education programs for cystic fibrosis.
