Modern Day Drifters Showcase-Tue June 9th

Modern Day Drifters, from Texas, will be showcasing in Nashville on Tuesday June 9th at 7PM at Edgehill Studios Cafe. 

Modern Day Drifters is led by a firecracker of a lead vocalist/songwriter/guitarist in Kristen Kelly.  She is a special and unique talent who grew up in a musical family as the god-daughter of Billy Joe Shaver. With Shaver's tutelage and a commercial music degree from an esteemed central Texas college, Kelly sought to fulfill the musical visions in her head.  Since the creation of Modern Day Drifters, a musical conglomeration that has played 180 shows, they have released a studio album and recorded a live record just last year.  MDD has drawn comparisons to a wide range of well known artists including:  Patty Griffin, Susan Tedeschi, Fleetwood Mac, Sugarland, and even the Black Crowes.  Joining Kelly in rounding out the Modern Day Drifters is Derrick Dutton and Josh Roberts, two guitar virtuosos who have proven to be great songwriting and musical complements to Kelly's powerful vocals.
