Tillis doesn’t do. Mel has recorded over sixty albums, and has had
thirty-six Top Ten singles. Nine of these singles, including “Good Woman
Blues” and Southern Rain”, made it to the number one spot! In 1993, Mel
Tillis released his first gospel album, Beyond The Sunset, and his most
recent album, Old Dogs, received a nomination for the 1999 Vocal Event of
the Year by the Country Music Association. Through it all, Mel Tillis
