During Annual Celebration in Murray, KentuckyNASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 30, 2009)-River County (SVC Entertainment), country music's liveliest honky-tonk band, will perform at the 2009 Froggy Fest, the annual concert and fireworks celebration presented by Froggy (WFGS) 103.7FM at Murray State University's Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray, Kentucky.
Performing for the first time at Froggy Fest, the rockin' road warriors, River County, will bring their rowdy, foot-stompin' show front-and-center on Saturday evening, July 4, 2009 as part of the Fourth of July, "Six For Six" holiday spectacular.
"We are excited and geared up in the invitation to be part of Froggy Fest," said lead singer Derek Wylie. "It's going to be a great day and folks should be prepared to 'stay'-all day and all night. We're looking forward to delivering our brand of wild, rockin' country music to the sea of country music fans at this sellout event."
Froggy Fest is one of Kentucky's most popular festivals and the concert (produced by Holley·Guidry Radio Marketing) is the highlight of Murray's annual multi-day Freedom Fest celebration (July 3-5, 2009). In its 13th year, the homegrown regional event has a tradition of showcasing illustrious musical acts and providing tons of fun at a great value. Family-friendly activities and festivities include a parade, farmer's market, 5k run, street fair, barbecue contest and the signature fireworks extravaganza.
The Fourth of July, "Six For Six" concert will also feature performances by David Lee Murphy, Bomshel, the Carter Twins, Jason Meadows, and Rick Huckaby. Ticket price is just $6; sale date and outlets where tickets can be purchased will be announced soon.
"River County has a high energy live show," said Randy Guidry, Partner, Holley·Guidry Radio Marketing. "I first saw River County's live show during our 'A Starry Starry Nashville Night' event at the recent Country Radio Seminar in Nashville; they rocked the house and I booked them right then and there for Froggy Fest. Murray is in for a real treat."
River County performs nearly 100 shows each year and has opened for acts such as Andy Griggs, Rascal Flatts, Jack Ingram, Lorrie Morgan and more. They have also performed at the Indy 500, the NASCAR Brickyard 400 and The Downtown Sky Concert Series. In 2008, River County completed a five-city tour in Mainland, China.
The tireless trio is currently filming a music video for their honky-tonk anthem "We're All Here" which was released to radio stations "by listener request" in March. The corresponding country line-dance, the "River County Stomp," is drawing heel-toe-dosey-doe-ers to dance floors across the country.
